Lady Anne Wehrley of Jack Radio Comics and Jack on Religion wanted to share some wonderful memorabilia with us.

She struck up a correspondence with the second most recognized actress of the silent film era, Lillian Gish.
Ms. Gish starred in some of the greatest films of the early 1900's including the classic, The Birth of a Nation that was directed by D.W. Griffith and was the largest  grossing movie of its era.

Lady Anne has presented an autographed photo, and two letters that she received from Ms. Gish.  Interestingly, the holiday letter mentions the movie, The Whales of August in which Ms. Gish appeared and many of her peers in Hollywood were outraged when she did not receive an Academy Award nomination for what is considered to be her finest work.  Ms. Gish died at the age of 99.
